Terminations

  • DFMCH Termination Process:
    • If an employee is resigning or retiring, they will need to send a signed letter of resignation/retirement to DFMCH HR.  DFMCH HR will process the employee's termination and will send the employee a resignation/retirement acknowledgemnet letter, benefits and exit interview email, and retirement certificates (if applicable).  DFMCH HR will also notify the appropriate people to terminate computer systems access and St. Mary's badge access (if applicable).
  • Role of the supervisor:
    • Remove employee from DFMCH authorized systems
    • Verify that employee returns keys, badges and equipment
    • Voicemail notification
    • Address email forwarding
    • Send notification to DFMCH Finance if employee has a purchasing card
    • Notify Michelle Kirch in the Alumni Hall business office if phone line should be shut down (for Alumni Hall staff)
