Staff development and quality service delivery are joint responsibilities shared by individual staff members, supervisors, department heads, and the University and UW Health as a whole.  Whether you’re looking for job-related advancement or simply interested in learning a new skill, there are many resources available to staff.  The resources below are available to Department of Family Medicine and Community Health staff.

Learning and Talent Development, UW-Madison Office of Talent Management

The UW-Madison’s Office of Talent Management (OTM) provides employees and supervisors with a wide range of resources, including professional development, leadership training and educational opportunities to cultivate individual and organizational excellence. The Learning and Talent Development office develops and delivers online and classroom education programs that support campus-wide needs (e.g., leadership or management development, employee engagement) and serves as a campus expert to deliver and assess learning.

UW Health Learning and Development

These opportunities are provided by UW Health Learning & Development.  UW Health’s learning and development goal is to “drive personal and professional growth within the UW Health community by delivering excellence in learning and development.” A wide variety of classroom and online courses are offered, including computer skills, communication, time management, leadership, and many more.
