  1. Seeking Nominations for DFMCH Strategic Process Oversight Committee (SPOC) Members

    Background:

    In 2014, the DFMCH began a strategic planning process with the support of the Executive Team. A 10 person steering group composed of members of the DFMCH was formed. This group helped guide the initial phase of the strategic planning process from the fall of 2014 to the present. They implemented a department-wide survey in January 2015 to determine what should be the next steps for the DFMCH.   In 2015, the Steering Group helped organize three Blue Sky Conferences to think about the possibilities for the DFMCH.     The ReCHARGED Steering Group is seeking nominations of clinic staff and/or managers who are interested in participating in the Clinical Care Task Force for strategic planning.   5. Task Force Updates

    Wellness Task Force Update

    May the force be with you! In this case, Yoda is talking about wellness and resilience. Once the story telling and laughter simmered just a bit, the members of the wellness and resilience task force got down to business.  We've met as a group twice so far, and in this time, we've accomplished a lot.  Two task force members took on researching what our own institution is doing and what other institutions are doing in terms of building wellness and resilience for their employees.   7. DFMCH ReCHARGED Strategic Planning Update - Task Forces Are Underway

    The Team-Based Care, Wellness and Resiliency, and Performance Development task forces are off and running. Task force members were trained by Mercedes Alonso from the Napier Group on July 23rd. The training included understanding leadership styles, an overview of the proposal that each task force will create and a problem-solving strategy called Six Hats Thinking (part 1, part 2).     On June 3rd, 65 people from across DFMCH participated in an Opportunities Conference to problem solve around operational issues that can and must be addressed as they stand in the way of our efforts to create a more ideal future. The DFMCH ReCHARGED Steering Group is establishing three task forces to further research these issues and recommend strategies for DFMCH.   10. DFMCH ReCHARGED Opportunities Conference

    On June 3rd, 37 staff and 28 faculty from 15 locations across DFM participated in an Opportunities Conference to problem solve around seven operational issues that can and must be addressed as they stand in the way of our efforts to create a more ideal future. Mercedes Alonso, consultant from the Napier Group, presented these as the pillars or supports for the strategic plan. Read more... »
