  3. Send us Your Recipe for a DFM Flavored Babcock Ice Cream

    Hi Everyone,

    Babcock Hall will be creating an ice cream in honor of DFM’s 40th Anniversary next summer.  The ice cream will be served at DFM events held July 16-18, 2010.  In addition, the ice cream will be featured at the Babcock Hall Dairy Store next summer.

    • Alex Adams, MD, PhD was interviewed on Wisconsin Radio Network regarding childhood obesity.  July 2009. 
    • Randy Brown, MD is among the first physicians in the United States certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine, a new independent medical specialty board.

  6. New Faculty, Staff, and Residents - July 2009

    New Faculty & Staff

    • Allen Last, MD MPH began with the Fox Valley Clinic 7/15/09 as the Residency Program Director.  He is a 2000 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School.  Dr. Last was most recently employed as the Program Director with the RacineFamily Medical Center.  He is originally from the Fox Valley area.
    • Dan Riethmiller, MD began with the Sun Prairie Clinic 7/20/09.  He is  a 2005 graduate of Indiana University Medical School.    Following his residency at North Colorado Family Medicine, Dan did locums in rural settings in Northern Colorado.  He is originally from Indiana.

  8. Faculty & Staff Excellence Awards - Applications Due Aug. 31

    Nominations are being accepted for faculty and staff excellence in performance and service to the mission of the UW DFM.

    3 to 5 awardees in each category will be considered from within the UW Dept. of Family Medicine Residency and UWMF managed clinics, along with those involved in the different missions of the department including education, research, clinical care, and administration. Read more... »
