“Charged Up” Strategic Planning Brief, April 28, 2017

Wellness and Resiliency -Implement departmental and site-specific wellness and resilience activities in conjunction with UW and UW Health to support a healthy and resilient workforce.

Update: 

  • The FamWell board held its first meeting on April 7, 2017, with 8 members and 2 residency representatives in attendance. The next meeting will be July 7th at 8 AM. 
  • Fourteen DFMCH wellness champions have been recruited, with four clinic sites still recruiting. Their first meeting was March 21, and they will meet bimonthly starting in July. 
  • Three wellness and resiliency roadshows have been completed at Portage, Cottage Grove, and Beaver Dam.
  • The FamWell board is creating a page on the DFMCH intranet with links to: site representatives, meeting minutes, and its mission and vision statement. This will be available at the end of April.

Reminders:

  • SAVE THE DATE for the Wellness Symposium, on November 1, 2017, at Union South. This event is co-hosted by FamWELL and UWell (UW-Madison’s wellness initiative)
  • The UW Health Wellness Options at Work blog is now easily accessible from the DFMCH intranet (https://inside.fammed.wisc.edu/).
