Faculty Profile: Kouros Farro, MD

We are pleased Kouros Farro, MD, has rejoined the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health as a Clinical Assistant Professor.

Since August of 2016, Dr. Farro has been providing patient care and teaching clinical care to medical students occasionally at UW Health Urgent Care centers. 

Dr. Farro earned his medical degree from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany.   After medical school, he started his Internal Medicine Residency at the Cleveland Clinic and switched to Family Medicine Residency at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health where he finished his residency.  Dr. Farro previously worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, UW Health Urgent Care.  Since then, Dr. Farro worked as a consulting Associate at Duke University Urgent Care.  Dr. Farro’s specific interests include Sport’s injuries and advanced medical imaging in the setting of urgent care, and EMR.

He is married to his wife, a Wisconsin native, who is also a Hem/Onc faculty at UW Health. They have two 11 year old small breed dogs and a 28 year old quarter horse as part of their family. He enjoys all things Apple, and outdoors including traveling, hiking and digital photography, and appreciates German car engineering.
