A Friday road trip toward better health for ourselves, our patients and our community

Would you like to step away for a day and refill your tank---so you can go where you want to go?

Join us on Friday, October 23, for an inspiring continuing medical education event in celebration of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health's 45th anniversary.

In our day together, we'll map out routes to providing health care as expertly as we do disease care. Through TED Talks, self-reflection and group learning exercises, you'll learn about:

  • The critical role that self-care plays in supporting health and well-being
  • How to empower patients to actively participate in their health
  • The latest research on the most essential contributors to health
  • Practical clinical tools to encourage healthy behaviors, and
  • How the concept of "whole health" can guide the path toward better health for yourself, your patients, your care team, and our community.

Dress comfortably, relax, and together we'll get to what matters most.

Sponsored by the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health.
