DFMCH ReCHARGED Strategic Planning Update - Opportunities Task Forces

On June 3rd, 65 people from across DFMCH participated in an Opportunities Conference to problem solve around operational issues that can and must be addressed as they stand in the way of our efforts to create a more ideal future. The DFMCH ReCHARGED Steering Group is establishing three task forces to further research these issues and recommend strategies for DFMCH. Based on the votes at the Opportunities Conference and the existing data (from the survey this spring, past listening sessions and interviews) those areas will be:

  • Team-Based Clinical Care: Medicine is increasingly becoming team focused. Issue: Our current ability to operate as effective teams in a team-based culture.
  • Wellness and Resiliency:Our current willingness and ability to model, among ourselves, the wellness and resiliency that we support in our patients.
  • Performance Management: The process of developing the capacity of individuals to grow personally and professionally in ways that provide them with increased opportunities while continually adding value to the Department at the same time they are evaluated in relation to their contributions and rewarded in a manner commensurate with their ability to achieve their agreed upon goals at the highest level possible.

These Task Forces will be trained by Mercedes Alonso from the Napier Group on July 23. The groups will research and develop a proposed plan for DFMCH over the next 4-6 months.

There will be additional task forces around our mission areas following a Vision Conference in September 2015. Watch a 5 minute video about where we have been and where we are headed on our website.
