Purpose and Objectives

As a result of participation in this educational activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Share knowledge about the current scientific research on health effects of exposure to environmental hazards and identify barriers and opportunities for addressing key public health problems.
  2. Identify and manage significant adverse environmental health effects, including practical applications for patient care.
  3. Recognize the many ways that health professionals can advocate for a cleaner environment and develop collaborative relationships between individuals and organizations.

  • Full Two-Day Schedule: $195.00 for physicians, $115.00 for nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives and physician assistants, and $35.00 for the general public.
  • Friday Only Schedule: $125.00 for physicians and $75.00 for nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives and physician assistants, and $20.00 for the general public. 

Making the Connection is offered annually to educate health professionals and environmental advocates and build cooperative relationships to promote policies that support a healthy, sustainable environment in Wisconsin.
