Faculty Profile: Kathryn Jacobe, MD

Please join us in welcoming Kathryn Jacobe, MD, to the Department of Family Medicine.  Katie was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completing degrees in English and Biology and her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in 2008.  She then completed residency training at the UW Fox Valley Family Medicine Residency Program, graduating in 2011.

During medical school at the University of Wisconsin, she realized she has a passion for patient stories and an enthusiasm for the benefits of longitudinal patient care that paralleled with the opportunities offered by a career in family medicine.  Amidst her studies she found time to co-chair Women in Medicine, to serve as a class representative in the medical school student government, and to marry her high school sweetheart, Kevin.

Her professional interests include pediatric and adult medicine, hospice care, preventive care, and obstetrics.

When she is not practicing medicine she enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She and her husband recently welcomed their first child, Benjamin, and are enjoying the adventures of parenthood.  She also enjoys cooking, camping, scrapbooking, gardening, skiing, and curling up with a good book or movie and a cup of hot tea when time permits.  She is excited to be staying in Northeast Wisconsin to continue to care for and serve the community she grew up in and was trained in.
