Faculty Profile: Danalyn Rayner, MD

Please join us in welcoming Danalyn Rayner, M.D., to the Department of Family Medicine. She is currently working at the Northeast Family Medical Center in Madison.

Dani received her bachelor and medical degree from the University of Wisconsin and completed her residency in Wyoming, following up with a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Alabama. As a medical student, she worked as a volunteer at the MEDIC clinic, Doctors Ought to Care and the Madison Street Clinic in Milwaukee.

Dani’s interest in global health has taken her to El Salvador, Belize, Haiti and Honduras, and Guatemala. She has also worked Indian Health Service in rural Idaho and New Mexico.

Outside of medicine, Dani enjoys biking. While she no longer mountain bikes professionally, she is an avid roadie in Wisconsin and she still gets out West several times a year to bike and ski. She also loves ballroom dancing, cross country skiing, and in general is an exercise addict.  She has a high energy shelter puppy and a high maintenance Siamese cat. Dani is originally from Madison and a graduate of Memorial High School, so she feels lucky to enjoy time with so many friends and family.

Welcome Dani!
